This is our 19th installment of Ovations, an ongoing blog designed to recognize some of the Tampa Bay areas event venues and vendors that we have had the pleasure of working with. Tampa has sooo many excellent event businesses, and these featured businesses have displayed the highest degree of organization, professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and in a nutshell, made partnering with them a breeze. More importantly, they also made the event seamless and enjoyable for our clients.
Based in St. Pete Beach, Florida, The Don CeSar is a coastal hotel wedding and corporate event venue that serves the greater Tampa region.
Known for its signature blush pink façade, which garnered the landmark’s nickname “The Pink Palace,” The Don opened in the glamorous Gatsby Era of 1920. The historic hotel has hosted socialites and celebrities and served as the backdrop for many silver and small screen events, including “Once Upon A Time in America” with Robert DeNiro and James Woods and “Forever Mine” with Ray Liotta and Gretchen Mol. Tom Petty used the rooftop as part of his MTV documentary “Southern Accents”
From the tropical courtyard to their breathtaking Gulf view Terraces, the venue is out of an elegant nautical dream. The legendary Pink Palace is beach front to the Gulf of Mexico, providing a breathtaking backdrop since 1928. This beachfront wedding venue welcomes celebrations both grand and intimate.
As of this writing, The Don CeSar has been named “Best Wedding Venue” by Visit St. Petersburg Clearwater from 2014-2021 and is celebrating it’s 95th Anniversary (1928-2023)
Boone’s Professional Events has worked with many of the fine event venues around the Tampa/St. Pete area, including The Don CeSar. We’ve developed some great working relationships with these folks and definitely recommend them to our clients.
